I have been quite silent for the past month, as we have been going through some important changes that required all of my attention and energy. Some of you even wrote to ask if I was OK and I would like to thank you for your concern and care.
Yes, I am OK, settling down with my husband in a new city, in a new country.
After 4 years and a half in Abu Dhabi, T. and I have decided it is time to move on and accept new challenges in our lives. So here we are, in Frankfurt, ready to start a new, thrilling chapter! 🙂
I have managed to meet with some of you, before traveling out from the UAE and needles to say I would have loved to meet you all and have our chance to talk about the future. Not to say goodbye, NO! Unfortunately, things did not work out all the time, but I am sure sooner or later we’ll meet again.
What I wanted to say is how wonderful our stay in Abu Dhabi has been, and what a privilege to have met you all! I won’t give names, as the list would be long and you guys know exactly how special you are to us!
I remember the day we arrived in the UAE as if it was yesterday, without knowing many people there, excited and skeptical both. I remember the search for a home, later on for a job, taking my tour guide license and day by day meeting new amazing people. Abu Dhabi has been our home and you guys, in a way, have been our family.
As you already know, I have lived in so many places, that I can hardly recall their number and I am not doing any efforts for that. You might also think that after so many changes, I got somehow immune to moving. Surprisingly, I have not! It is a tough decision and a tougher process and I am sure those of you who have been through the same, know exactly what I mean. Of course, it is exciting too, but there are certainly lots of mixed feelings in the package. And in the end, it always comes back to the people. It is not the place, but the people I would like to take with me, every time I go. I would have loved to take all of you with us, but since that was not possible, I am only hoping I will get to see you again, rather sooner than later.
For those of you who live in Europe, yeyy…we shall see each other soon and for all others please be reminded that Frankfurt is a great hub and I am sure we’ll have our opportunities.
In the meantime, I can always be reached on my social media accounts, on my personal emails, and I shall update you with my new whats app account soon. Of course, there’s going to be many more travels and certainly more travel stories on the blog. There are so many stories I have to tell you and I sincerely apologize I have been absent lately.
So, once again, this is not goodbye, is just my way of saying thank you and see you soon!
Love you all,
P.S. We have landed in Frankfurt on 1st of July, on a rainy morning. The next day we went for our first long walk in the city and here are the first pictures I took of Frankfurt. I am looking forward to welcoming you here and showing you my new home city!
